Music website

For our music Authentic challenge we had to complete a website pretending that we were a music artist or in a band. We had to make our own songs and it could be with lyrics or somthing we made yourself on Garageband. Some othe things we had to include were our own fashion line, biography of your band or just you. We also used these websites to enter the Net Guide Multimedia Challenge which most of the class has entered.
My music website address is pitbullz.weebly.com if you would like to have a look.

Rugby league

As the boys started to pour out of the bus, the tension started to build. There was only 10 minutes until the over 55 kg team played their first league game at Mountfort Park, Manurewa.

As we did not have much time to warm up, we jogged over to were we were playing, and we started to see all of the teams we were going to play. Most of them looked familiar, as we played against them in recent rugby competitions.

Unfortunately the over 55 kg team did not win any of their games, but there position is still unknown, but the under 55 kg team won 2 of there games and made it to the semis but lost. Their placing is 3rd or 4th.

Overall it was a good day all round.

science

On Monday the 20th of July the science roadshow was held at the Pukekohe Intermediate school hall. The roadshow was based around planet earth and how sound travels. They had heaps of experiments and contraptions set up for us to try. But first they had a slide show to present to the classes that were present. Once they had presented the slide show we were free to explore and try the experiments that were set up in the hall.

We love rugby

Rugby is loved and followed all over the world. It is our national game and it is the most played sport in New Zealand.

Rugby originated in 1845 Warwickshire, England. Rugby was famously an amateur sport until the IRB declared the game open in 1995, by removing restrictions on payments to players.

The creation of rugby is said to be an accident. In England 1823 a group of people were playing soccer when William Webb-Ellis picked up the ball and ran with it. That’s why the rugby world cup trophy is named after William Webb-Ellis.

Rugby is a great to keep your fitness levels up and your weight low. To increase your fitness levels and to maintain your weight eat healthy and exercise regularly. So get off the couch, trade in your remote for a rugby ball and your slippers for some boots and go and join your local rugby club.

Under 45
On Thursday 4 June Pukekohe Intermediate took 3 teams to Bruce pulman park in Ardmore.
The three teams were sorted by weight. Under 45's, Under 55's and Over 55's were the 3 weight divisions. It was a great day with the under 55's coming 2nd on the table, under 45's taking 4th and over 55's unfortunately taking last place. Also the weather was on our side the whole with not a cloud in the sky.

James and Mark

“Hi Mark,” said James “hi” said Mark. James and Mark were on their way to school. When thy turned down the alley way they noticed it was empty.

“Do you wana have a smoke before school” said Mark, “sure” James said with a grin. Mark took the first few puffs “ok hand it to me” said James. As Mark gave it to James he had a deep cough, James laughed “smokers cough” he said. After James finished it off they continued walking.

They got to the end of the alleyway James said, “You got any money” “Na you” “Na you want to steal something” “im down” said Mark. Mark and James walked to the nearest dairy. Mark James distracted the guy at the counter while James stole the drinks.

James and Mark walked out and waited until they got round the corner when James gave Mark a Demon. Good score said Mark they carried on walking to school.

Mark and James arrived at school when they saw the school nerd. Mark and James started to walk over to the nerd, they started to push him round. Mark saw a teacher walking towards them. “Lets go James,” said Mark. Mark and James walked away.

The final bell rang Mark and James ran out of school and walked to the dairy. There was a police car outside but they thought nothing of it, so they walked into the dairy getting ready to steal some stuff.

The shopkeeper saw the boys “that’s the two boys that stole the two drinks”. The police officers took the boys to their houses. The boys were banned from the dairy for life.

Each boy was sent to a different boarding school and was on a very strict routine. Two yrs later the two boys are doing very well in their new schools and haven’t been in any trouble since.

Lunch Time Touch

Every lunch time at Pukekohe Intermediate, classroom touch teams take to the field to participate in the classroom touch competition.

Mrs Hancock the school sports co-ordinator, has started this competition. She got students to help with the competition such as setting up the field or refereeing games.

Rules to the competition and the game are very straight forward. Rules for the competition are that you can only have 6 players on the field, your team must have 2 girls on the field during the game. All touch rules apply.

Our classroom has won 2 games against room3 & room5 and unfortunatley lost 2 games to room 4 and room 5.

To improve our game play, our class need to work together, run forwards and eliminate errors.

Quote:
The touch rugby referees have been and the competition couldn't of happened without them. :)
